Brothers Ronald and Chris Gunn are the latest recipients of Coal River Products Association life membership, in recognition of their extensive contributions to agriculture in the valley, and to CRPA itself.

Sixth generation farmers, Ronald and Chris have farmed several properties in the district, including Glen Quoin (on Back Tea Tree Road), Seaton (300 hectares on Richmond Road), Lowlands (220 hectares near the Richmond township) and the 310-hectare University Farm at Cambridge.

Over the years they have produced wool, prime lambs, irrigated and dry land cereal crops, and irrigated crops including poppies, peas, vegetable seed and fodder.

They have both made significant contributions to the association, with Ronald holding the role of treasurer of CRPA for 18 years, and Chris as president for 10 years.

CRPA and its members are grateful for both Ronald’s and Chris’s passion and commitment for the farming community in the Coal Valley.

The honorary life memberships were awarded at the annual CRPA member BBQ, held on 22 February 2023 at Caledon Vineyard.
