Alex van Driel

Alex attended Burnley Horticultural College in Victoria, and then grew flowers, bulbs, olives and street trees. He worked in the vineyards at Great Western, Rutherglen and Yarra Valley. The potato laboratory at Healesville gave him an interest in tissue culture and virus removal. He was then nursery manager for Vicflora before completing a degree in Applied Science at Melbourne University. After a spell at McWilliams Wines in the Yarra Valley he commenced managing Clover Hill Wines at Lebrina and Tea Tree.
